invasion: an invasion happens when someone interrupts or disturbs you in an unwelcome way
compartments: an item that has compartments has separate sections for keeping things

- Homework goes home on Tuesday, January 21st and is due on Monday, January 27th. Remember homework is optional, but if correct, bonus points will be rewarded.
- There will be a reading test on Monday, January 27th because we will be taking the reading portion of Scantron on Friday, the 24th. It will consist of 2 cold read passages and question sets. Questions about Project Mulberry and vocabulary sentences.
- Last week's tests go home on Wednesday, January 22nd.
- If your child makes a D (60-69) or an F (59 and below), please sign the test and return it by Friday the 24th.
- Please continue to talk with your child about their school work, homework, conduct, notes from the school/teachers, etc.

Remember if your child is absent, I need a parent's or doctor's excuse within 3 days of them returning. Each student is only allowed 10 parent excuses for the WHOLE school year. After that they will need a doctor's excuse for their absences.
