April 22-26

We will be finishing our chapter book study, Bridge to Terabithia, this week.
We will be studying shifts in verb tense this week.

• Monday, April 22nd, read and discuss chapter 13
• Tuesday, April 23rd, listen to chapter 13 on audio and quiz on chapter 13
• Wednesday, April 24th, Discuss Vocabulary Words from Bridge to Terabithia
• Thursday, April 25th, Begin Bridge Book Test
• Friday, April 26th, Finish Bridge Book Test and grammar test on shifts in verb tense. I will go over last week's abbreviations grammar test, spelling test,  and also Bridge test chapter 13.

There is no homework for bonus points during the book study. Your child will have a study guide filled out for every chapter. Please try to have your child at school as much as possible.

If your child makes a D (60-69) or an F (59 or below) I have stamped the test sign and return. Please do so.

April 15-19

We will be continuing our chapter book study, Bridge to Terabithia, this week.
We will be studying abbreviations this week.

• Monday, April 15th, read and discuss chapter 12
• Tuesday, April 16th, listen to chapter 12 on audio and quiz on chapter 12
• Wednesday, April 17th, 5th Grade Scantron Reading Test
• Thursday, April 18th, Spelling test on 20 commonly misspelled words and grammar test on abbreviations. I will go over last week's prepositional phrases grammar test and also Bridge test chapter 12.
• Friday, April 19th, NO School!

There is no homework for bonus points during the book study. Your child will have a study guide filled out for every chapter. Please try to have your child at school as much as possible.

This 9 weeks spelling words are 20 frequently misspelled words:

separate, believe, intermediate, because, through, beginning, grammar, receive, appreciate, remember, science, Wednesday, sincerely, probably, privilege, against, beautiful, February, library, and necessary. There were be a spelling test on Thursday, April 18th.

• Wednesday, April 10th, read and discuss chapter 11
• Thursday, April 11th, listen to chapter 11 on audio and quiz on chapter 11
• Friday, April 12th, Grammar quiz on prepositional phrases. I will go over and return quiz 10 and possibly quiz 11.
