This week's reading standard of making inferences is review.

This week's grammar standard of 4 types of sentences is also review.

Homework goes home on Monday, January 13th and is due on Friday, January 17th. Remember homework is optional, but if correct, bonus points will be rewarded.

• There will be a reading test on Friday, January 17th. It will contain 2 passages and making inferences questions and making inferences task cards.
• There will also be a grammar test on the 4 types of sentences.
• Reading tests go home on Tuesday, the 14th. We did not take a grammar test last Friday because of DARE graduation. If your child makes a D (60-69) or and F (59 or below), please sign and return by Friday the 17th.
• Please continue to talk with your child about their school work, homework, conduct, notes from the school/teachers, etc.

Remember if your child is absent, I need a parent's or doctor's excuse within 3 days of them returning. Each student is only allowed 10 parent excuses for the WHOLE school year.
