December 14-18

       ·       Christmas Party $ is due by Tuesday, December 15^th. PLEASE send cash.

·       Pajama/Polar Express Day is Wednesday, December 16^th. Your child is allowed to wear appropriate pajamas to school on this day. We will be watching movies and enjoying this time of year in our classrooms.

·       Christmas party is Thursday, December 17^th at 12:30.

·       School will dismiss at 11:30 on Friday, December 18^th.

·       Students will return to school on Thursday, January 7^th.

December 7-11

This week's story is A Drop of Water.

This week's genre is expository nonfiction.

This week's focus skill is Cause and Effect. 

This week's vocabulary words are elongates, elastic, rigid, accumulate, underlying, intricate, vanish, and replenishing.

This week's spelling words are barrel, cannon, capitol, civil, clever, discover, frozen, general, hidden, inventor, mayor, pepper, polar, proper, sandal, saucer, original, theater, tutor, and musical.

This week's grammar skill is pronouns and antecedents.

We will be working on Week 15 of social studies. Each student has a study guide. There will be a test on Thursday.

There will be a reading, spelling, and grammar test on Friday.  

Please check agenda books daily!

Your child has spelling homework this week on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights. Reading vocabulary homework is on Monday night. Reading homework is due on Friday. Homework is listed in the agenda books! 

 All students have a study guide for their reading story. PLEASE make sure that are studying...all the answers are from the reading story.

Saints for Christ is in the library for students to attend every Wednesday morning at 7:15!

Please continue to talk with your child about their school work, homework, conduct, notes from the school/teachers, etc. I will be continue to sign conduct folders for NO homework, failure to return signed papers, etc!
