  • This week's grammar skill is homographs.
  • Reading homework goes home on Monday. It is not due until Friday. Homework is not required, but students receive bonus points to the weekly test grade if answers are correct.
  • There will be a reading test on Friday. It will consist of a cold read passage and question set including cause and effect questions and homograph questions, comprehension questions about this week's story, and vocabulary sentences.
  • Last week's tests will go home on Tuesday.
  • If your child makes a D (60-69) or an F (59 and below), please sign the test and return it by Friday.  
  • Please continue to talk with your child about their school work, homework, conduct, notes from the school/teachers, etc.
  • Let me know if you need me in any way!


  • Coming Up Soon:
    • Progress Reports went home Friday, September 20th. Please review, sign, and return by Wednesday the 25th.
    • Special Snack: Wednesday, September 25th
    • Book Fair: September 30th-October 4th.
    • Fall Picture Day: Monday, October 7th.

    Please send to school with your child an inexpensive pair of head phones or ear buds for computer lab. Thanks to everyone who has already sent them in. The supply kits provided them.

    Remember if your child is absent, I need a parent's or doctor's excuse within 3 days of them returning.
