First off I would like to thank you all for such a great first week of school. All the students were very well behaved and very responsible in getting all of the paperwork signed and returned. There is additional paperwork that went home today, so please sign and return tomorrow.

This week's vocabulary words are humiliation, fringes, expectations, coaxed, sincere, and hesitating.
This week's grammar skill is idioms.
Homework went home today. The homework is not due until Friday. Homework is part of your child's reading grade, so please make sure it is completed and returned by Friday.
There is a reading test on Friday. It will consist of a cold read passage, comprehension questions about Rope Burn and vocabulary sentences. I will also be grading numbers 5 and 13 from this week's homework, so please make sure it is correct and complete.
