November 26-30

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. We all have SO much to be thankful for!

This week we are beginning the reading standard of main idea and details and the grammar standard of punctuating titles of works correctly.

• Homework goes home on Monday, November 26th and is due on Friday, November 30th. Remember homework is optional, but if correct, bonus points will be rewarded.
• This is the 2nd 9 weeks' spelling words: unsuccessful, undoubtedly, impossibly, disloyalty, deactivation, unlikable, replacement, unsafely, uncollectible, immeasurable, impassible, encouragement, unbelievable, unselfishly, rearrangement, discoverable, dishonestly, unbreakable, reappearance, reassurance. This spelling test is not until Friday, December 7th.
• There will be a reading test on Friday, November 30th. It will consist of 2 cold read passages and question sets.
• Last week's tests go home on Tuesday, November 27th.
• If your child makes a D (60-69) or an F (59 and below), please sign the test and return it by Friday the 30th. 
• Please continue to talk with your child about their school work, homework, conduct, notes from the school/teachers, etc.

Please send to school with your child an inexpensive pair of head phones or ear buds for computer lab. Thanks to everyone who has already sent them in.

Remember if your child is absent, I need a parent's or doctor's excuse when they return.
