September 4-8

Hope you all enjoyed your Labor Day weekend.
  • This week is review week. No reading story. We will be doing activities to reinforce the reading standard.
  • This week's reading standard to review is Text Structure: Sequence.
  • This week's grammar skill to review is context clues.
  •  Reading homework went home on Tuesday. It is not due until Friday. There is an explanation slip attached to the homework. Your child CAN write on the sequencing chart.
  • There will be a reading test on Friday. It will consist of a cold read passage that includes sequencing and context clues questions.
  • Last week's tests will go home on Wednesday.
  • If your child makes a D (60-69) or an F (59 and below), please sign the test and return it by Friday.
  • Please continue to talk with your child about their school work, homework, conduct, notes from the school/teachers, etc. I will continue to sign conduct folders for failure to bring materials to class, failure to return signed papers, behavior, etc!
  • Let me know if you need me in any way!
